SACMR is presented as number of cases per 100 000. The included smoking attributable cancers are: lip, oral cavity, pharynx; oesophagus, stomach; pancreas; larynx; trachea, lung, bronchus; cervix uteri (for women only); kidney and renal pelvis; urinary bladder; and acute myeloid leukaemia. The age-adjusted cancer death rates in each calendar year were standardised to the 2000 US Census population.
