Wave 1 income is coded differently from waves 2–4. Wave 1 uses the containers ‘Up to $U3500,’ ‘$U3501 to $U7000,’ ‘$U7001 to $U10 000,’ ‘$U10 001 to $U15 000.’ Waves 2–4 use ‘Up to $U4500,’ ‘$U4501 to $8000,’ ‘$U8001 to $U12 500,’ ‘$U12 501 to $U15 000.’
