Summary

Immediately after start of active cigarette smoking skin temperature was decreased significantly in man. No decrease of skin temperature, however, could be observed in persons passively exposed to smoke in rooms (170 m3), when 150 cigarettes were smoked within 30 min. Measurements of electrocardiogram, blood pressure, and puls frequency showed, that these parameters were not altered by passive smoking.
